Founded by Welsh-born Huw Taylor, Heritage Meat began by supplying aged beef to top restaurants across New Zealand. Today, our artisan butchery in Taupo brings that same restaurant-quality meat to locals and visitors—making us Taupo’s destination for people who truly love food.
We work with a trusted group of farmers and suppliers who prioritise animal welfare and environmental care, sourcing premium beef, lamb, pork, and free-range chicken. We offer premium cuts, house-made sausages, additive-free bacon, and expertly crafted stuffings and marinades—designed to bring out the best in every meal.
